Shihan
Wilton White
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1958 but he
grew up in Fuquay, NC. Upon completing high school and
undergraduate work in North Carolina, Shihan White came back
to New York in 1983. It was then that Shihan White started
his career in the contract security sector, married his
beautiful wife of 20 years, Diane and later began raising
his two boys, Wilton Jr. and Jeremiah.
Shihan White has
trained in martial arts for 19 years, which started in 1984
under his first instructor Kyoshi Isaac Zato of the Kuroshi-Do
System, later received his black belt from Grand Master Michael
Willet of Chosen-Do System.
Shihan White is the
founder of the Agape Do System. His teaching includes a variety
of karate styles such as Goju, Jiu Jitsu and Ninjtsu.
Academically he holds a BS degree in Criminal Justice from
Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina and he is an
inductee of the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
After working in
corporate America for 20 years he decided to open up his own
karate school, Agape Karate & Fitness Center. He runs this
school full-time and now his career is training children and
adults in the Agape Do System. Agape Karate & Fitness Center has
been in existence for two years and now has over 100 students
enrolled consistently.
Shihan White’s
philosophy is based on the word of God that is found in the Holy
Bible. The uniqueness of his system is that he teaches Christian
martial arts based not only on the physical aspects of martial
arts but also the mental. His compassion for mankind allows him
to always be open to new growth and development in his training
and teaching. Shihan White’s favorite saying is, “…it is good to
be a teacher but greater to be a student.” He truly believes
that the children are our future therefore we must train them
today.
KickBoxing
for Women
One popular form of kickboxing is
known as aerobic or cardiovascular (cardio) kickboxing,
which combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and
aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and
toning. Unlike other types of kickboxing, cardio kickboxing
does not involve physical contact between competitors - it's
a cardiovascular workout that's done because of its many
benefits to the body.
