I want to
thank Vincent Anthony for taking the time to formulate such a
well designed book. It has a “no-nonsense” approach to a very
serious situation, “knife attacks”. His lessons and photos
would be an asset to any instructor’s library and will help to
reinforce knife self defense skills. This book is very
well thought out, and I looks forward to training with Mr.
Anthony in his seminars at the

The late Yamaguchi-Sensei
demonstrates the entire modern Eishin-Ryu solo curriculum,
except the Bangai set. Each set is shot from the front and from
the side. Extremely useful for those who wish to absorb the
technical details, rhythm, and spirit of one of the greatest
swordsmen of the pre-WWII generation. Filmed in 1991 on video,
and re-organized here with chapter headings and contents. A must
have for every serious practitioner of Iaido!
This is a
great DVD for those looking for detail in their Iaido practice.
Even if you study a different sword style, it always good to
look at other schools for origin and comparison. The filming in
this DVD is clear and easy to follow. I enjoyed studying it,
and Master Yamaguchi Katsuo is unparalleled in his execution of
Eishin-Ryu.
