About Us
The karate system of the Ron Craddock Karate Academy is known as Shinki-Ryu, (pronounced Shin key Roo) translated means, "humble spirit way", an offspring of Okinawa Kempo. The fundamental training and foundation for our program comes from Soke Craddock’s experiences training with Grandmaster George Dillman, Taika Seiyu Oyata, Master Chuck West, Grandmaster Hulon Willis (deceased), Grandmaster Remy Presas (deceased), Grandmaster Leo T. Fong and Professor Wally Jay.  All of these Grand Masters of the Martial Arts are held in high regard with great respect and appreciation for what they have shared through the years.

The explanations of techniques given to our students have been carefully researched and developed to maintain consistency, as we know it to have been for hundreds of years. The foundation of our program is based on understanding “Traditional Kata”. The Kata was developed by the old masters as a tool for remembrance of techniques and of their results. Practicing kata diligently increases strength, stamina and focus and is the best historical document of the martial arts.

The study of the Martial Arts can be a valuable experience in life itself.  The goal of the Ron Craddock Shinki-Ryu Karate  Academies is introducing the student to a well-developed and organized study of Okinawa Karate.  The school will open the doors of the mind to the fellowship, sport, competition and traditions that surround Karate.
