Chief Instructor: Chris Dammann

Instructor
The Chief  instructor of Hudson Valley Krav Maga is Chris Dammann.  Chris has over 30 years experience in the martial arts, with advanced black belt degrees in 5 different Karate and Ju-Jitsu systems.  In addition to this, he was a high school wrestler (section 11) and college level (NCAA-D3) wrestler and has been a H.S. wrestling coach ever since.  He is currently the head wrestling coach for the Ossining school district. He has fought in full contact MMA competitions and also competed for the W.A.C.O.--U.S.A National Karate Team in 2007.  He is the only 7 time N.Y. State Karate Champion and was the U.S.A. National Champion in 2002 and again in 2010.  He was named Best Male Fighter/Competitor of the year by Action Martial Arts Magazine in 2005 and was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden in 2004.  He was the owner and chief instructor of the Kentai Karate-Do Academy on Long Island from 2000 through 2007. 

Chris was a member of the N.Y.P.D. Auxiliary Police (1996-2002) and was one of their defensive tactics instructors. He has been training in Krav Maga since 2007 and has been teaching since 2009.  Chris is the owner and operator of Hudson Valley Krav Maga.  

The chief instructor and CEO of KMNY is Davide Gristina. Davide is Chris's instructor. Davide has been training in Krav Maga for almost 10 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to his instruction.  He is a certified Black Belt in both the civilian and law enforcement programs of Krav Maga.  He is also a black belt in traditional Japanese Ju-Jitsu. He is a very dynamic instructor and is highly sought after by many federal and state law enforcement agencies for their defensive tactics training.



Facilities
Our facility is located in the village of Pawling N.Y.  We are the only licensed Krav Maga program in the Mid-Hudson Valley.  Hudson Valley Krav Maga is a licensed affiliate of Krav Maga Alliance.  We are fortunate enough to have a strong relationship with Sensei David Weiss and the Ryu Renshi Dan Karate Organization.  David has allowed us the use of his fine facility.   We are a proud member of Krav Maga New York (KMNY).  KMNY has their headquarters in Somers N.Y.
