Iaido

Iaido – The Japanese Art of Sword Drawing

Iaido is a traditional Japanese martial art emphasizing the smooth, controlled drawing and use of the Japanese sword (katana). Training focuses on precision, timing, awareness, and disciplined movement through the practice of traditional forms known as kata.

Students practice sword drawing, cutting motions, controlled techniques, and returning the sword to its scabbard. Iaido develops concentration, coordination, balance, respect, and self-discipline while preserving the traditions of Japanese swordsmanship.
